GA-MARIETTA - DAYS INN - POSTED
Location and coupon
I needed / wanted to spend the night in
Marietta to be close as possible to my AM appt in Marietta. A coupon for $39
got my attention
plus big rig parking. Turns out the big rig
parking is wherever you can find it, there is not a dedicated area. But tonight
that is not a problem, we had two and there would have been room for more.
We
I am traveling with someone tomorrow so we decided to meet up
tonight. That brought the price from $39, to $49. (After I check out I see that
the Motel 6 at the same exit is $29 for the next night, not sure what it was
that night) As far as the motel
check in and out was pleasant, same
person both times. Room was clean, quiet and the AC worked
that is
all I need. Room was big enough for two, it didn't seem cramped like some.
Beds, pillows made for a good nights sleep. Breakfast in the AM was the
usual
plus biscuits and gravy & Pop Tarts. Didn't see a waffle
machine but I may have missed it, not a big spread but enough. The only
food within walking distance is Dave & Busters, good food, high prices. If
I do stay somewhere else in the future, it will likely be because of food.
(With a big rig, I don't like to drive once I have checked in for the night)
GA- MARIETTA - DAVE & BUSTERS - POSTED
Huge
1st impression was 'WOW.' 2nd impression was
how
do I get seated and served? (I will agree with the poster who was
'Disappointed,' this place needs signs or someone to let people know where to
go for what.) I walked into the place behind another couple, we both went
to the 'food' area and waited to be seated
and waited
and waited.
Finally we all walked back to the entrance area and after being there a while,
the couple had to almost grab an employee walking by to get their attention.
That is how we found out that there was also a 'seat yourself' area. We
both chose that (seeing no one seemed to be working the other area.) From there
on things improved. I was given a menu almost right away, and they came back
shortly after to take my order, food was delivered timely. Ended up with
my usual
Philly Cheesesteak. This one had the meat sliced finely, the
onions, peppers and mushrooms were grilled to a 'soft' state. I chose the onion
strings (finely sliced), they may have been called something else. Very good,
didn't need my usual ketchup on the rings. Got full, so didn't eat all the
bun but did eat all the meat and veggie's
good, but $10+ for the
sandwich. |
