2023 08 08 DOT ... spending the night at home I was really in pain and slow moving for a few days so I waited until I was home before calling for my DOT physical appointment. I was able to get one for tomorrow. Usually I wait until the last day before I get it renewed but I have a dentist appointment close to then and I don't won't to be worrying about that when I'm doing my DOT. I need to be able to keep my blood pressure down. That has been my issue the last few years and last year they would only give me a six month card. They can only do that once ... and now they have done it. My BP has been good at home every day for the last year so I am optimistic. Last year my BP had been over the limit about 25% at home but my Dr wouldn't do anything about it until I failed. They were worried I would pass out from low BP (?) I take my BP every day, Mine has never been to the low end of the range, let alone below. Still trips on the load board we would take in MN, IA and WI. But I'm not making any plans for anything until I pass ... tomorrow. 2023 08 09 DOT ... spending the night at home PASSED my DOT :) :) :) They did all the usual. Check weight and height (?) Then hearing and eyesight. ... then took my BP. Too high. Tuesday at home it had been good, them this AM it was higher. And that '20 point bump' I get from walking into the clinic put me over the limit on the first try. Then the Dr and I did all the touch your toes type tests and spent t a lot of time answering questions because of my answers. But all was good and when he took my BP again an half hour later it was down where it had been yesterday AM at home. (And was again Thursday at home) Once I passed the test, then I have to go to the local DMV to get their system updated. And when that is done, I drop off a copy at my local company and email my second company. Now we can work again for another year ... Load board (Wednesday ?)
