(I started a page ...
but now it is four days later)
At some point there was 3 RV's coming to
MN and one trash truck in MN going to IA. Local work but we sat it out ... with
my BP going up, not down as I wait for a call back ...

I had left a message with my main Dr on
Thursday AM before we left the hotel. No message back on either Thurs, Fri or
Sat. I had decided to try again by 10 AM and about 9:30 I get the message they
do not want to change my meds unless I fail. That is what I have been trying to
avoid. Not sure how to go about this in the long run. I do not want to have to
worry about this every year.
My plan had been to wait until by BP was on
the low end for a week before I even tried to go in. But if the Dr won't change
anything until after the fact there is no reason to keep waiting.
I give
it an hour for my frustration to go down before I call and leave a message with
my DOT Dr. It is still the same one as last year (I think) so that is one less
unknown.
Last week we first hung out in Salt Lake City waiting for work
and then headed home via Grand Junction. We were a week off. Today there was a
truck in Grand Junction coming back to MN. Timing.

Dr never
called back yesterday or this AM so I called them a little after 9 AM. The
called me by name ??? Either they have caller ID even on the network phones or
I was the only person they had not called back.
I now have an
appointment at 2:20 tomorrow. We will see how my blood pressure is then. I
slept real lightly last night so I thought my BP would be up.
Tomorrow
... I need to stay off the computer. Sitting on the computer all day sometimes
messes up my eyes. And I can't sit and weed too long because I walk like a 90
man when I get up. We do need to be able to move for some of the
tests.
The rental dispatcher had eight trips today that either started
or ended in MN, all less that 250 miles. Maybe that will be his new thing
:)

FAILED ! (but passed)
My companies
have stricter requirements than the DOT, so I passed but now I need to satisfy
my companies before I can start driving.
I can still hear the whisper, I
still have 20/30 vision ... the new cheaters I bought did not help on the test
and I couldn't tell the difference when I got them. Oh well, now I have another
spare.
And I was still able to do all the bends, twists and turns
required so overall it was an easy test.
My frustration, and that is
likely part of the issue, is that I tried to get this taken ahead of time and
my Dr doesn't want to change anything unless I fail. Now I have failed ... and
am waiting on an answer back.
I even tried a few tricks that are
supposed to help. Warm bath (shower,) lots of liquid (for me,) limited my
computer and sitting time. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs, my weight is down,
I don't eat junk food. I had thought of getting a message ... but I thought of
it at 2 AM so I hadn't planned ahead.
So I am likely off work for
another week or so. If it drags on too long I will just file what I have with
the DOT to stay legal.
The rental dispatcher did have another half dozen
local trucks but BB is not interested in driving them. Yet. Nothing interesting
today on the RV side.
