220506 Farm

Yesterday, Thursday, I headed up to the fields as soon as we had unloaded our luggage.

I had called ahead so I knew the tractor was at 'Hoggies.' Ray had done all of Nelsons and had done less than a dozen rounds here.(I

(I didn't keep notes but I think I) Headed down to Larry's and did those <> 40 acres and then took the tractor to the farm and fueled it before Ray took me back to my car.

TODAY

I got there about 8:30. Ray had hooked up the soil finisher and it was ready to go. I looked at it and saw the tires where low so I called. He was already working on getting some air out to where the equipment was. This time it was a truck with air brakes that he was using as a compressor.

8:30-9 - Tires
10-1 - East Hoggies
1-4 - West Hoggies
4-7 - Nelsons

Saturday

I got there at 8:30, Ray was there fueling the tractor from a trailer behind his pickup. He sold his 'shop truck.'

9-1 <> Larry's - Ray was there as I was doing the last round
1:30 - 2:30 - Field near 65
2:30 - 5 - Landing pad
5-8:30 - home place

That was it. It has rained enough that I never did get back up to do any clay ground. It sounded like he was working on the 'no-til' planter the last time I talked to him.

Depending on which road I was taking, Ray wanted to follow me. On the other roads I was OK.
