190103 - IA-MN
There is one return in MN going back to IA. So we grabbed it last night we just need to pick it up and drop it the same day. It is less than 250 miles so I will be getting a flat fee.

Plan is that we will have something by the time we get to IA today and we won't need a motel in Forest City.

I pickup my RV at corporate about 11 am. No issues. Then move the RV about 15 miles before doing my labs and eating lunch. We are in no hurry, we just need to have it to IA by 5 pm close. We eat at Honey Baked in Burnsville before heading south.

We have decided to take the car with us so we have a ride home if needed. (good choice) BB follows in the rental car and I try to take the back roads from Albert Lea south. But US65 just goes through town and then back to the freeway. So at the next exit I try again. This time it works, not a bad road, might even be shorter.

When I get to our IA office is when I find out I have missed a few things. They were supposed to have emailed me a BL and a 'transfer' page. The transfer page they sent me was for internal office use only. I had hand written up a BL so legally we were good. While in the office I also picked up spare copies for a next time, if there ever is one.

Also while we were there we picked up our new legals, IFTA stickers and plate tabs. After listening to other drivers coming and going for a bit we went to sit in the car instead. I think there were two RV's in the lot that weren't Sprinters. Lots of RV's stashed other places, just not in our lot. One of the drivers said the plant had two weeks off over Christmas, not something they normally do.

We decided to head back home. Just a few miles out of town I get a call, issues at Mom's again. But I am 3 hours away.

Someone else can cover getting to Mom's so we stop at Diamond Jo's for the buffet. Throat issues again.

Get back home about 8 pm.
